Weather-Beaten and Ida
Framed by the old, gray, weather-beaten skeleton of a tree, the settlement of Ida is visible in the Shenandoah Valley.
Ida was created as a 'resettlement community' when the Commonwealth of Virginia took the lands of those living in the Blue Ridge mountains for the creation of the Shenandoah National Park.
